Take the Idaho 11 (Gold Rush Historical Byway) at the junction of U.S. 12 at Greer. Travel East to Weippe. The Gold Rush Historical Byway is a two lane paved highway which rises up from the Clearwater River to the prairie. It is well maintained with some passing lanes and several turnouts for scenic viewing.

  • Lewiston to Greer: 51 miles
  • Kamiah to Greer: 15 miles
  • Orofino to Greer: 8 miles
  • Greer to Weippe: 17 miles
