Friends of the Weippe Library, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization that believes in the importance of the library and its services for people of all ages. They support the growth of library service in Weippe, and encourage the use of the library as the community learning, recreation and information center.
What Do They Do?
The Friends group makes contributions of books and other materials to enhance the library’s collection. They provide funding for special programs or services. The Friends group encourages donations and bequests to the library, and raises money through annual gift baskets and other fundraisers. They sponsor library-related events, including National Library Week celebrations and the Summer Reading Program. Friends members often volunteer to work in the library or on a special library projects.
